I came to the Lambda youth network for the first time in 2016. I was warmly welcomed within the youth groups. The nice thing about Lambda: There is no distinction between who you are or where you come from. As long as you consider yourself part of the queer Group feels you are part of Lambda.
What are we doing there?
In the various youth groups we cook or play games together. But we also talk a lot about personal issues that concern us, give mutual advice and help each other. Lambda is the origin of so many friendships. It may sound absurd, but the people at Lambda make me feel like I'm perceived as a person. It's a great feeling. Nobody questions your identity. Every person can just be who they really are. Especially in these difficult, uncertain times, I find a strong sense of solidarity in my group, even if unfortunately this is only limited to online meetings at the moment.
It was through the people at Lambda that I discovered who I actually am myself. I learned a lot about myself and my own body. Through my new friends, I found the courage to out myself and present myself as I would like to be seen. I am just incredibly happy to have found Lambda BB.
