Beauty Cancer Cosmetic DKMS DKMS Life Fashion Hair Self-esteem Style SUSTAINABILITY women

Mirror, mirror on the wall...

How hugely important our mirror-image is to our self-esteem we all know too well. And at the same time there are so many things in life more important than beauty and apearances. True beauty really does come from within and those who go about their days with intelligence, charme and joie de vivre will always be preaised for their charisma. That's why beauty is also very much a question of mindset.

EMERALD BERLIN supports young girls and women that are struggling with their self-esteem due to cancer treatment and the subsequent loss of their hair. That's why we cooperate with the DKMS life organisation and together created a fashion-collection boosting their "look good feel better"-program. It gives seminars to these women about hairstyling, cosmetics and skin care to give those struggling with cancer a new self-confidence. For more information check the project-page on our website. Thank you!

And: Women are up to 11 percentage points more likely than men to report food insecurity.” - does this sound like an equal thing? We don't think so. Poverty affects women more than men and is one of the main reasons, a lot of women still live in critical and dangerous situations all over the world. Read more about it in our newest blog post.
